We are given freedom and new life in Christ by grace through faith. Ephesians 2:8
Gal 2:1-21 Grace does not separate people from one another. It does the opposite; it creates one family of faith.
Gal 1:13–16 THEN…. God gives grace no matter the person’s history, social status, or worth. SO THAT…We are also called to serve others.
The believers were slaves to false identity, systems of power, and culture that kept them from living as one family of faith. Galatians 2:11-21; 5:15, 26
So what are we to do?
- Believers receive the gift of their identity as children of God. God is always seeking a relationship with us!
- The greatest honor is to give back in service to others. Gal 5:13–14, 6:1–2
To serve others and the body of Christ, we use our spiritual gifts (graces). Eph 4:11–16; Rom 12:6–10
